VINTAGE PHOTOGRAPHY IN A MODERN WORLD

A part of the trucking industry at multiple levels since 1992, James “Tex” Crowley continues his involvement as a creator of images and video supporting the positive image of this dynamic component of the American economy.

Tex also captures images of non-commercial trucks at shows around the country. This combined effort is what makes The Truck Photo Agency the go-to place for analog film photography for events, brands, agencies and industry publications.

Tex currently utilizes a 1946 Graflex Speed Graphic 4x5 press camera as well as a 1920 Conley 5x7 field (or box) camera inherited from his uncle. It’s believed his grandfather owned the camera when new but confirmation of that has been unfortunately lost to history.

In addition to the large format options, Tex has added a pair of medium format cameras: A Holga 120N as well as a Rolleiflex TLR manufactured in the late 1930’s. Each camera in his arsenal creates their own distinctive aesthetic.

All film negatives are developed by Tex (not outsourced) and scanned on an Epson V700 flatbed scanner in-house, resulting in top quality imagery for clients and truck connoisseurs.
